Euler-Bessel and Euler-Fourier Transforms

چکیده
We consider a topological integral transform of Bessel (concentric isospectral sets) type and Fourier (hyperplane isospectral sets) type, using the Euler characteristic as a measure. These transforms convert constructible Z-valued functions to continuous R-valued functions over R n. Core contributions include: the definition of the topological Bessel transform; a relationship in terms of the logarithmic blowup of the topological Fourier transform; and a novel Morse index formula for the transforms. We then apply the theory to problems of target reconstruction from enumerative sensor data, including localization and shape discrimination. This last application utilizes an extension of spatially variant apodization (SVA) to mitigate sidelobe phenomena.

A Continuous Euler Transformation and its Application to the Fourier Transform of a Slowly Decaying Function
The Euler transformation is a linear sequence transformation to accelerate the convergence of an alternating series. The sequence of weights of the transformation is extended to a continuous weight function which can accelerate Fourier type integrals including Hankel transforms with a slowly convergent integrand. We show that the continuous weight function can also be used to compute the Fourie...
متن کاملThe Bessel Period Functional on So5: the Nontempered Case
For automorphic representations in the nontempered cuspidal spectrum of SO5, we establish a precise Bessel period formula, in which the square of the global Bessel period is decomposed as an Euler product of regularized local Bessel period integrals of matrix coefficients.

Following the pioneering work of Schapira, we consider topological Radon-type integral transforms on constructible Z-valued functions using the Euler characteristic as a measure. Contributions include: (1) application of the Schapira inversion formula to target localization and classification problems in sensor networks; (2) extension and application of the inversion formula to weighted Radon t...
متن کاملOn Polynomials Connected to Powers of Bessel Functions
Abstract. The series expansion of a power of the modified Bessel function of the first kind is studied. This expansion involves a family of polynomials introduced by C. Bender et al. New results on these polynomials established here include recurrences in terms of Bell polynomials evaluated at values of the Bessel zeta function. A probabilistic version of an identity of Euler yields additional ...
متن کاملA generalized Mobius transform, arithmetic Fourier transforms, and primitive roots
A general approach to arithmetic Fourier transforms is developed. The implementation is based on sine and cosine killer procedures pertaining to a generalized Möbius transform involving reduced periodic multiplicative arithmetical functions. It is shown that cosine killer procedures exist whenever one half of Euler’s totient function of the order of the transform is odd. Primitive roots and ind...
